Cremation

A RESPECTIVE ALTERNATIVE WITH MANY OPTIONS

While burial in a casket is the most common, cremation is an increasingly selected method because it can be less expensive and allows for a variety of memorial service options.

Direct Cremation is an option for those who want a simple (without service), dignified and affordable means of final disposition. For this option, please visit our Sunset Cremation Plan page.

For families who wish to have a funeral service followed by cremation, it need not be any different from a funeral service followed by a burial. The loved ones of a person who has chosen cremation have various ways to bring closure to a very special life. Cremated remains may be buried on a family plot in a cemetery. They may be scattered at a favorite outdoor spot. They may be divided and given to family members to memorialize in their own personal way. Usually, cremated remains are placed in an appropriate temporary or permanent receptacle, or urn, before being committed to a final resting place.

We manage all aspects of the process from transporting the deceased to a mortuary or our funeral home for proper preparation. Then, together with the family, we manage all the details from location, dates, and times of wakes, special memorial services, and burials. We’ll help manage all local newspaper notices and provide customized web listings.

Whatever your needs, we have hosted individualized services from the simple and traditional to the extravagant and complex.

We would be honored to serve your family.
