Una Mary (Forde) Hartwell, 92, of Lynnfield entered into eternal peace at Sunrise Assisted Living of Lynnfield, MA. Una was born in Brooklyn, New York to Michael A. Forde and Mary B. (O'Sullivan) Forde. The family would go on to live in Lynn, Ma.
Una graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lynn, Ma. Una then became a Registered Nurse in 1950 graduating from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Brighton, Ma. She was a career Operating Room Nurse working first at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton. Then as staff Nurse and Nurse Manager of the Operating Room at the Soldier's Home in Chelsea, Ma.
She married the late Leslie L. Hartwell III in 1959. The couple raised their four children in Lynnfield. She is survived by her daughter's Ellen Bova of Beverly and Mary Katherine Hartwell of Manchester, NH. Her son Leslie L. Hartwell IV and wife Cynthia and Son Edmund T. Hartwell of Maine. She had four grandchildren Luke Hartwell, Ryan Hartwell, Michael Bova and Julia Hartwell that brought her much joy. She is also survived by her sister
Anne N. Hanser of Boxford and three nieces.
Una was a strong advocate for her children and catholic education. She taught Sunday School at Our Lady of Assumption and was a per diem school nurse. She enjoyed traveling, reading and making the holidays joy filled for her family.
