Theodore W. McBride

Middleton, MA - Theodore Warren McBride, born August 29th, 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland passed away at the age of 2 on September 27th, 2021, at Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, MA surrounded by family.  He lived in Middleton, MA with his loving family.

Theodore is survived by his immediate family: his father, Elliot McBride, his mother, Jessica McBride, and his most amazing 6-year-old big sister, Vanessa McBride; as well as so many other loving extended family members.

Despite Theodore’s complicated medical journey, his life was full of love and happiness and is a resounding example of the most incredible resiliency and tenacity imaginable.  He was and still is a gift to so many and will be forever.

He loved family snuggles, playing with his sister, making progress on development and growth, listening to music, and being outside.  His laugh and smile were infectious, his hair was enviable, and I think it is safe to say that he literally charmed everyone he met.

Although his journey on this Earth was short, the amount he accomplished, the lessons he taught, and the lives he touched and impacted are countless.  He surpassed any expectation, he overcame any challenge, and is just clearly a reminder to never give up hope and faith, to never underestimate the power of love, to always appreciate the gift of today, and to always believe in family and joy.  Thank you, God, for blessing us with our precious Theodore, we are so lucky to have been chosen to be his family.

We will be celebrating the life of Theodore in Waterville, ME with the following planned events.  There will be a visitation held from 6 PM to 8PM on Friday, October 1 at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville, ME.  A funeral will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 2 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 60 Eustis Parkway, Waterville, ME.  Burial will take place at 11 AM in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove Street, Waterville, ME.  Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gallant Funeral Home.  An online guestbook may be signed, condolences and memories shared at www.gallantfh.com

On Saturday, October 9th from 10am-12 noon memorial visiting hours will be held here at the Mackey Funeral Home, Middleton MA to which all are kindly invited.
