Sylvia A. (Timson) Belisle

Sylvia A. (Timson) Belisle, 81, died Wednesday morning, May 18, 2022, at Beverly Hospital, after a long fight against lung cancer. She is the daughter of the late Dolores (Blute) and Melvin Timson, of Danvers Massachusetts. 

Sylvia was born on November 27th, 1940, in Danvers Massachusetts.  She graduated with the Danvers High School Class of 1959. 

Sylvia’s childhood passion was being a competitive swimmer, competing several times in the annual Danvers Water Carnival on Sandy Beach, Danversport.  She also enjoyed singing, dancing and entertaining on a professional level, touring the US during certain times in her life.  In her later years, Sylvia enjoyed a good political conversation and debate, sharing stories of her mother and grandmother with her grandchildren and knitting sweaters and blankets.

Sylvia leaves behind her sons, Jeffrey Ryan of Salem MA, and Michael Ryan and his wife, Nicole, of Danvers MA; sisters Teresa Berg of Danvers MA, Marcia Winter and her husband Brad of Danvers MA, Norman Timson and his wife Kim of Danvers MA, and Alan Timson and his wife Debbie of Beverly MA.  In addition, Sylvia leaves behind four granddaughters, Jessica Ryan of Nashua NH, Ali (Ryan) Dutton and her husband Shawn of Alexandria NH, Kaelyn and Maisie Ryan of Danvers MA, one great-granddaughter, Audrianna Trow of Nashua NH, two great-grandsons, Windsor and Lincoln Dutton of Alexandria NH, and her goddaughter, Lisa Timson of Danvers MA.  Sylvia is predeceased by her sister Carol Hess.

While there are no services currently scheduled, there will be a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
