Shannon Marie (Nestor) Albright, 66, of Atkinson, NH, passed away on May 5, 2022, after a long battle with multiple myeloma.
Shannon was born on February 29, 1956, to Jack and Virginia (Tremblay) Nestor. She was the second eldest of Jack and Virginia’s four children, all of whom were born and raised in Salem, Mass. Shannon graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Salem, Mass., in 1974 before attending Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. She and her husband, Loren O. Albright, were married in 1986 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manchester, NH. In 1991, they celebrated the birth of their daughter, Laurel Elizabeth. Over the years, Shannon and her family lived in Derry, NH, Groton, Mass., and, most recently, Atkinson, NH.
Shannon worked as an executive assistant at Wang Laboratories and then dedicated her life to raising her daughter. She was an exceptional cook who enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed music, singing, and playing guitar. She shared her musical talents at Immaculate Conception Parish in Salem, Mass. Above all, she cherished time spent with her daughter. Shannon and Laurel enjoyed attending concerts, going to the beach, and researching genealogy. Shannon was an exceptionally empathetic human being.
In addition to her devoted husband and loving daughter, Shannon is survived by her two brothers, Shawn Nestor and his wife, Lisa, of Summerfield, Fla., and Mark Nestor and his wife, Susan, of Danvers, Mass., and her sister, Maureen Chesley and her husband, Glenn, of Danvers, Mass. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
Family and friends are welcomed to attend a service for Shannon on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Mackey Funeral Home at 128 S. Main St. in Middleton, Mass., with a wake from 10-11 a.m., followed by a memorial service from 11-11:30 a.m. Arrangements are by Mackey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shannon’s name to the Saint Anne Parish Food Pantry at 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH, 03841.
