Scott A. Leary

On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, Scott Allan Leary, loving father of 2 children and 2 grandchildren, passed away at age 59. He was born on May 17, 1963 in Danvers, MA. to Francis and Janet Leary. In 1986, he graduated from North Shore Community College with his associate’s degree in Physical Therapy and received his LPN license from Greater Lowell Regional Technical School in 2000. In 1985, he married Ann Barnett and raised a son, Christopher Leary, and daughter, Colleen Leary.

Scott had a passion for helping others. When he was a young man, he worked with the moderate to severely disabled at Hogan Regional, then with the elderly as a physical therapy assistant and later as a nurse. Afterwards, he became a handyman, providing household repairs for those in his church and community. He loved being outside, working with his hands and adventuring in kayaks or hiking with his friend Mike. He was known for being a good listener and having a big heart and an infectious laughter. 

Scott is preceded in death by his brother Francis “Buddy” and is survived by his two children, Chris and Colleen, 2 granddaughters, McKenzie and Madison, his sister Dawn, Mother Janet, Father Frank and many friends who love and adore him. 

Services on Oct. 15th at the Funeral Home, visitation 10am-12pm. In Lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Scott's memory to a charity of your choosing.
