Ryan was born in Middleton, Massachusetts. He attended Fuller Meadow Elementary school, before moving to Amesbury in 2000.
Ryan was active in sports in Amesbury, starting at a young age. He joined the Amesbury Jets at eight years old. It was here, on the football field, that he excelled. He went on to play football at Whittier Tech. His talent found him starting as a freshman for the Varsity football team. His sophomore year he was a part of the school's first state Super Bowl championship, making the game winning play. He was proud to be a part of something that had never been done. After high school, he attended Keene University for two years before returning to plumbing, which became a true love and passion for the trade. Ryan was a gentle giant that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His wit and infectious laughter drew people to him. That is what will be missed the most by all that loved him.
Ryan is survived by his mother, Melissa McGrail of Middleton. His brothers Robert and Gavin McGrail of Amesbury. His father, William Tragakis, and his wife Janel, brothers Taylor and Brandon, and sister Alexa of Agawam, Mass. His grandfather, Christos Tragakis of Fort Meyers, Florida.
