Richard E. Hogan, 76, of Beverly, died peacefully on March 31, 2012 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Shirley (Irwin) Hogan. Born in Newton, Richard was a graduate of Boston University and went on to a long career in the Electronics Industry. He was the Vice President of Excellon in Torrance California for many years and the President of a few electronic companies in California. One of his greatest accomplishments was being the first person to ship a computer to Russia. Most recently he was the President at deHaart Technologies Inc., in Burlington, MA. Mr. Hogan was a member of the Wingaersheek Golf Club and the K of C in Beverly. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the US Army. He was honorably Discharged in July of 1955.He and his wife of fifty-one years have resided in Beverly since 1996. Besides his wife Shirley, he leaves two children; Teresa Hogan Johnson of Beverly and Mark W Hogan and his wife Mora of PA. Also leaving a brother Robert of GA. and six grandchildren; Wade Johnson and his fiancé Amanda Chiaradonna, James-Joseph Hogan, Cody Johnson, Sean Hogan,Caiden Hogan,Megan Johnson and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 14, 2012 at 10am in St. Brigid Parish,2001 Mass Ave, Lexington MA.
