Richard Delmont Jr. Obituary

Richard Kenneth Delmont Jr., known affectionately as Rick to his friends and family, passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2024, at the age of 61 in Rochester, New Hampshire. Born on July 28, 1962, in Malden Ma., Rick's life was characterized by his kindness, humor, and intelligence, traits that endeared him to everyone he met.
Rick was a proud graduate of Peabody High School's class of 1980. His commitment to serving his country was evident through his tenure as a veteran of the United States Army, a period of his life that shaped much of his character and values. Following his military service, Rick dedicated many years of hard work to Smith and Wesson, where his diligence and camaraderie were highly valued by his colleagues and friends.
Those who knew Rick will remember him for his love of the open road, often seen riding his cherished Harley Davidson Motorcycle. This passion for riding was just one aspect of his adventurous spirit. Rick also had an immense love for animals, particularly his loyal dog, Mijo, who was a constant companion and source of joy in his life.
Rick's love for the outdoors extended to the beach, where he found tranquility and happiness in the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. His love for his friends and family was immeasurable, and he cherished the time spent in their company.
Predeceased by his father, Richard Delmont Sr., Rick's memory will be honored and cherished by his loving family. He leaves behind his mother Judy Delmont, his sister, Kelli Campbell, and her husband, Jon, along with his adored nephews and niece Dylan, Logan, Riley, and Isabella. As a father, he instilled his values and zest for life in his children, Travys Roy and Sasha Marie who will continue to carry his legacy forward. Rick's extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins along with his close friend Lisa Sherwood will miss his presence at family events, where his laughter and stories were always a highlight.
As we bid farewell to Rick we are reminded to embrace the open road of our own journeys, to cherish our loved ones, and to live each day to its fullest. We say goodbye to Rick, not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the time we shared and the memories we created. His story is one of love, laughter, and a life well- lived. Rest in peace, Rick. Your legacy will ride on in the hearts of all who loved you.
