Phyllis M. MacFarland

Phyllis MacFarland, age 83 of Peabody passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her three children on April 15, 2022. She was predeceased by her sister Gerry, the daughter of the late Frank Chick, and the late Dorothy Chick (Macarthur).

Phyllis was born in Malden, MA on June 19, 1938. Phyllis owned several businesses including Sports Plaza Bowling Alley in Malden, MA. She worked as a private CNA most of her life after selling her businesses. She was happily married to the late Harold E. MacFarland Sr. and they had three children which she loved dearly.

Phyllis is survived by her three children Aprille MacFarland and her fiancé Dave Roberts, Joy MacFarland and her partner Albion Morse and Harold (Rusty) MacFarland Jr., her six beloved grandchildren, Amanda Small and her husband Ryan, Felicia Ruano and fiancé Dan Bourque, Dylan Meo, Logan Meo, Alexandra MacFarland, Gregory MacFarland and his partner Brooke Cavanaugh, great-grandchildren, Marley Small, Maya Small, Oliver MacFarland, Mia MacFarland and her beloved lap dog Tootsie. Phyllis also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Phyllis loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends, was an avid reader and loved to go to the ocean as much as she could. She loved singing in the choir at church and always helped anyone in need. She was the treasurer of the Plumb Island Surfcasters club at one point in her life and was a professional marks woman as well! She loved butterflies, glitter, high heels and always dressed to impress! She was a strong, loving, giving, caring woman who will be missed dearly by all.     

In lieu of a funeral/wake a celebration of life will take place at the Dalton Club in Newburyport, MA on June 11, 2022 from 2-6.
