Patricia Ann (Clarke) Mundry, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the venerable age of 92. Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, on April 21, 1932, Patricia's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and faith.
Patricia was the devoted daughter of Charles W. Clarke and Anna M. (Flood) Clarke. She shared a loving life with her late husband, J. Robert Mundry to whom she was married for 58 years that were filled with support, teamwork, and mutual respect. Together, they created a legacy that lives on through their children: Robert Mundry and his wife, Denise of Methuen, MA; Susan Mundry and her husband, Richard Maines of Newburyport, MA; Julie Foley and her husband, Michael of Sunapee, NH; and Kenneth Mundry and his wife, Allison of Salem, NH. Her loving grandchildren, Katherine, Kerrin, Jacqueline, Kenny, Caitlin, Gillian, Courtney, and Kevin have brought her tremendous joy that further blossomed with the addition of her great-grandchildren, Sage, Rowan, Sloan, Sydney, Ty, and Jack.
A graduate of Edward F. Searles High School and McIntosh Junior College, Patricia's professional journey was marked by her pioneering spirit as one of the first employees at the Bon Secours Hospital. Her career as a medical administrative assistant spanned several practices, culminating in a rewarding tenure with New England Neurological Associates, where she retired with high regard from colleagues and patients alike.
Patricia's lifetime love of music was part of all aspects of her life. A talented pianist and celebrated soloist, she graced many weddings, celebrations, and church events with her voice. She was a lifetime member of her beloved St. Monica’s Church where she was fondly known as the "novena lady." Her passion for the arts was matched only by her love for nature. An avid gardener, Patricia's yard was filled with vibrant colors from spring to fall, that delighted her and attracted the birds and butterflies that she loved to watch. Whether sunning on “the rock” at Onway Lake or at the New Hampshire seacoast where the family spent many summers, Patricia found her greatest happiness in nature.
She and Bob enjoyed winters in Siesta Key, FL, surrounded by a close-knit circle of friends. There, she could be found birdwatching, at Red Sox spring training games, and holding court by the pool. Patricia's home was a hub of warmth where she loved to cook for family and friends. She passed on her culinary knowledge through her annual Thanksgiving "Pie School," teaching generations the art of pie-making, ensuring that her recipes and love for gathering around the table would endure.
Patricia will be remembered as a loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled woman whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit, a beautiful blend of grace and strength, will continue to inspire her family and friends. As we bid farewell to our Mom, Nannie and Great Nan we do so with gratitude for the countless blessings she bestowed upon us, and with the knowledge that her legacy of love will continue to flourish in the hearts of those she touched.
