Patricia Brown Anderson passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 25th, at the age of 83.
Pat was the second of three children of Charlie and Marie Brown of Roberta, Georgia. She attended Crawford County High School, where she was an accomplished student and athlete. After high school, she began her career at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia, where she met her husband, Glenn, and raised four children. Pat retired in 1999 after many years as a dedicated civil servant. Years later, Pat and Glenn relocated to Texas to be near their sons and grandchildren. In recent years, they were also able to spend time in Massachusetts to be near their daughters, granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and proud Grandmama to six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Danville, Georgia and Old School Primitive Baptist Church in Kennedale, Texas. Pat will be remembered for her selfless nature and her love of God, family and friends.
Pat is predeceased by her sister, Dr. Betty Smith. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Glenn Anderson. Her children, Beth Likens and husband, Brian, of Alexandria, VA; Brad Anderson and wife, Caryn, of Colleyville, TX; Lisa Anderson and John Hogan of Middleton, MA; and Greg Anderson of Bedford, TX. Her grandchildren, Haley Likens Crossen and husband, Michael; Tess Likens Gavin and husband, Alexander; Brittan Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Ellie Anderson, and two great-grandchildren, Emmett and Lucy. Her brother, Thomas Brown of Macon, GA and niece, Monica Harriman and husband, John, grandnephews Carr Harriman and wife, Tiffany, Drew Harriman, and great-grandnephews Hayes and Brayden.
Visitation will be at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St, Middleton, MA on Saturday, April 2nd, from 10:30 to 11:30. The service will follow at 11:30. The burial will take place in Texas at a later date. Kindly visit www.mackeyfuneralhome.com to share condolences.
