***** Update :  Services 2/6 & 2/7 see below *****

Pasquale Pietropaolo, Jr. (Pete) of Peabody, MA, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 89. Pete was a kind man and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who lived a full life defined by love, laughter, faith, and dedication to his family. While he worked tirelessly for most of his life to provide for his family, whom he cherished, he also had fun along the way and delighted in making people laugh without ever trying too hard. This was his gift, and to those he left behind, we’ll fondly remember his stories and legacy whenever we need comfort and assurance. He also lived with a deep personal faith that guided him each day, and he found comfort and purpose in weekly worship.

As the youngest of three children, Pete was born on April 14, 1936, in Revere, MA, to the late Pasquale 'Pat' Pietropaolo and Ermelinda 'Millie' (Coppola) Pietropaolo. He graduated from Revere High School and later received a degree from North Shore Community College. As a young man, he served in the Army and was stationed in Berlin. Upon his return from the service, he embarked on what would be a 32-year career with Eastern Airlines (initially in New York and then Boston), where he held positions in customer service and as an aircraft maintenance planner.  Eastern Airlines is where he met his beloved wife, Anne (McDonnell), who also worked for the airline. They married in 1972, started a family, and went on to share the next 54 years. Over this time, Pete and Anne shared many adventures, too numerous to recount, and enough laughter to last a lifetime. Together, they also became small business owners and managed a local liquor store for a number of years (Peabody Liquors). After Eastern Airlines, he worked a number of jobs in security and was a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross and the Veterans Administration.

Above all else, his proudest role was being Papa to his four grandchildren, Cory, Ryan, Hannah, and Evan. They were his greatest joy, and he was always eager to share stories of their accomplishments with anyone who would listen. He played an important role in their lives, guiding and supporting them with love and adoration.

While he enjoyed reading and travel, Pete’s favorite hobby was watching vintage movies, often many times over.  Later in life, and guided by his faith, he joined his church on a pilgrimage to Israel in 2023.

Pete was predeceased by his parents and his adored siblings, Samuel Pietropaolo and Louise Rizzo. He is survived by his wife Anne, sister-in-law Patricia Pietropaolo, son Keith Pietropaolo (Megan), daughter Tara Noble, his grandchildren, and many adored nieces and nephews. Thank you, Pete/Dad/Papa/Uncle Jr./Uncle Pete, for the joy you brought into our lives.
