Nancy T. Maravelias, passed away on August 10, 2024, at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington. Born on October 18, 1947, in Medford, MA, she was the daughter of Daniel J. and Virginia McFadden (Breen).
Nancy worked for the Marblehead Public Schools for 32 years as a teacher, guidance counselor, and lead guidance counselor retiring in 2008. She then worked as the Director of Guidance at Bishop Fenwick High School for three years until 2011. She was devoted to her family and dedicated to her work with students and their families.
Nancy is survived by her husband and best friend, Alan. Nancy and Alan shared 54 years together, having been married on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1970.
She is survived by her twin sons, Michael and his wife Alyssa of Plymouth and Jason and his wife Katja of Andover. She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren, Olivia, Gavin, and Logan of Plymouth and Ethan and Alexander of Andover.
An avid reader, Nancy leaves behind several cherished friends from her book club, many friends at Fuller Pond Village in Middleton having been an active member of the Women’s Club, and numerous colleagues throughout her professional career.
All arrangements were private at Nancy's request.
