Nancy Tufts Farrow age, 86 of Peabody, MA passed away on May 4, 2022
Born in Worcester and raised in Westboro, she was the daughter of Florence (McCrohon) and James Keltie Tufts, Jr., and sister of James Keltie Tufts, III of Auburn, MA
She was married to Raymond Leonard Farrow for over 61 years.
She leaves a daughter Dr. Suzanne Farrow Graves (John) of Manchester-by-the Sea, MA and a son Matthew Raymond Farrow (Hilary Kurzer) of Providence, RI and four grandchildren: Matthew Raymond, Nathan Alexander, and Margaret Elizabeth Graves and Grace Anne Farrow.
She graduated from South High School in Worcester and the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing where she received her RN.
She worked as a physician’s assistant to Dr. Richard Hunter in Worcester and as an Occupational Health Consultant for the U. Mass Medical Center and the U.S. Navy Underseas Warfare Center in Newport, RI.
She was a noted professional Nantucket Basket weaver; an avid tennis player and ardent walker. Together they enjoyed many years of boating, including taking their boat on the intercoastal waterway to their house in Florida
Among her many volunteer activities, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society, making hundreds of ‘Reach to Recovery’ visits and participated in a 40-mile two day walk to raise funds for breast cancer.
