Lorraine (Rubino) Capprini

Lorraine Capprini, 79 of Danvers, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on August 25th at home surrounded by loved ones.

Lorraine was born on December 22, 1946 in Winthrop, Massachusetts to Louis and Mary Rubino.  She grew up in East Boston graduating from East Boston High School.  She is survived by her husband, Joseph Capprini, son and wife: Mark and Mary Capprini, son and wife Joseph Capprini and Celeste Gobeil, daughter and husband; Krista and Greg Purtell.  Lorraine was a loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Above all else, Lorraine was devoted to her family. Her traditional Sunday dinners brought generations of family together and afternoons that often ended gathered around the table for spirited discussions or a game of cards.  She was a constant and loving presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren and had a certainty that family always came first. That was how she lived, and it is how she will be remembered.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 1st from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Mackey Funeral Home located at 128 South Main Street (Route 114) Middleton, MA.

Funeral services will also be held at Mackey Funeral Home on September 2nd at 11:00am.

A procession will follow to Walnut Grove Cemetery, located at 31 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA.  A Celebration of Life dinner will then be held at Theresa’s Italina Eatery, located at 149 Main Street, Middleton, MA 01949.
