Kent Ballard 1961-2022
Master finish carpenter
A unique light went out with the sudden passing of Kent. No time to finish the business at hand, no last moments to spend chuckling over your witty, sometimes beyond silly jokes. The manageable chaos of your life stilled, leaving great big holes in the rest of ours. Little by little, everything changes…
Born to Lloyd and Martha Ballard, he was fifth of seven children. He is predeceased by his older sister Kathy, his older brother Kevin, younger brother Sean and his father. He is survived by his mother, younger brother Brett, older sister Maureen and older brother Brian. His wife Roxane and sons Austin and Kent.
Kent had many talents; carpentry and guitar playing were his most used. He was raised on the Ipswich River and it was there that he enjoyed everything the river, swamp and surrounding land had to offer. From hockey skates on the swamp to tree houses and fishing and teenage antics and the ever present annual River Burn as an adult were all enjoyed by Kent. He had a deep respect for the land and the wildlife around him.
He will be dearly missed by his family and the many friends he stayed in contact with throughout his life. There will be a graveside service at 12:30 pm Friday May 6, 2022 Oakdale Cemetery route 62 Middleton, MA. following that will be a gathering for friends and family at the American Legion 62 River Street Middleton, MA. from 1:00 pm to 5 pm
