Judith Ann Mangan, 80, passed away on November 4, 2024, at Andover Forest Care Center after a long illness. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 16, 1944, to William J. Mangan and Barbara (Steele) Mangan, Judy grew up in suburban Mount Lebanon and graduated from Mount Lebanon High School in 1962. She graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, MA. Judy worked as a researcher in Development at a number of universities and private schools, including Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Phillips Academy, and Brooks School in the Boston area.
After she retired, Judy enjoyed playing bridge weekly at the North Andover Senior Center and borrowing books from Stevens Memorial Library, the public library in North Andover. For several years she volunteered at Bread & Roses, a soup kitchen and food pantry in Lawrence, MA.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura A. Fabiano, of Salem, MA, and three grandchildren: Marco Fabiano and Christopher Fabiano of North Reading, MA, and Gabriella Fabiano of Austin, TX, and her sister, Kathy S. Mangan (John Willis) of Baltimore, MD.
