Joyce M. Prunier, 88, of Danvers died on March 8, 2023, following a bold and courageous battle with health issues. Born in Danvers, she was a cherished daughter of the late William and Dorothy Murphy. Joyce was a graduate of Danvers High School and later Salem State College with a Degree in Education. She taught in the Danvers School System before becoming a Resource Teacher at Hamilton-Wenham Middle School where she worked for many years before retiring.
Joyce enjoyed baking and was an avid knitter. She often used her knitting hobby to help others by donating the baby blankets and scarves she made to various causes.
She was a loving and loyal daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, “Grammy Joyce”, and friend to many.
Joyce was preceded in death by her sister Carol January, brother William “Bill” Murphy, loving husband of 53 years Arthur Prunier, and daughter Diane Logins.
She leaves her children, Stephen A. Prunier of Danvers, Debra J. Zakas and her husband Britt of Danvers, Douglas W. Prunier and his wife Amanda of New Hampshire, and Kristen M. Eberle and her husband Peter of South Carolina. She is also leaving her grandchildren, Nicholas Zakas, Zachary Zakas, Karissa Smith (Gabe), son-in-law John Logins and her step-grandchildren, Kimberly and Jon Michael Logins. Besides several nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Life in Joyce’s honor will be held at a later date.
