It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad and papa.
John (Jack) Peter Kieran, 80, of Peabody, Ma passed away on March 30, 2024 following a recent battle with pneumonia. Jack was born on March 1, 1944 to parents Catherine and James Kieran of Salem, Ma.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna (Casaletto) Kieran; daughters Therese Fontaine and her husband Paul of Georgetown; Kathleen DiCioccio and her husband Flavio of Hamilton, Jennifer Pierce and her husband Wes, of Ipswich, and Maureen McLean and her husband Eric, of North Andover. He is also survived by his brother, James Kieran and wife Virginia of Salem.
Jack’s greatest joy in life was being Papa to his grandchildren; Emily, Sean, Kyle, Kieran, Wes, Finn, Kate and Kiley.
Jack will be missed for his quiet, yet witty demeanor and love of telling a good story. He enjoyed nothing more than an exciting game of Left Center Right on holidays, gathered around the table with his large and boisterous family.
Jack worked hard to support his family throughout the years and held a work ethic that was unparalleled by most. From his time working at Salem hospital as a teen, to owning and operating a publishing supply company, to working security at MWRA and most recently the John Hancock building in Boston, Jack wore many hats and performed each role to the greatest of ability and with much pride. He was well loved by all who crossed his path.
