John Enos Obituary

John Francis Enos, a loving father, grandfather, and devoted husband, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, in Peabody, following a brief illness. Born on August 28, 1932, in Boston, Massachusetts, John was a proud and dedicated member of his community.

John is survived by his three children, Lou Ann (Enos) Towle of Peabody, MA, John Enos of New York City, and Emily Enos of Beverly, MA, as well as his three beloved granddaughters, Elizabeth Towle of West Newbury, MA, Sarah Towle of Seabrook, NH, and Alexandra Enos of Beverly, MA. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Lou (Palmieri) Enos, his father John Enos, and his mother Deolda (Silva) Enos.

Raised in Boston, John was a diligent and dedicated student who went on to study Chemistry at Suffolk University. His passion for knowledge and his commitment to his studies led him to a successful career as a chemist at General Electric. John was the recipient of 12 patent awards at G.E. Throughout his life, John remained deeply committed to his work and was widely respected by his colleagues for his expertise and dedication to his profession.

John's service to his country was of great importance to him, as he proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from August 1950 to August 1953. Stationed on the USS ESSEX CVA-9, John's time in the Navy was marked by his unwavering loyalty and commitment to his fellow sailors and his country. His service in the Navy was a source of great pride and an integral part of his identity.

In addition to his professional achievements, John was a dedicated family man who cherished his time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His love and devotion to his family were evident in every aspect of his life, from the way he spoke about them to the time and energy he invested in their lives. John's love for his family was a guiding force in his life, and his children and grandchildren will carry his memory with them always.

John's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, dedication, and service will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched throughout his time on this earth. John Francis Enos will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain a beacon of strength and inspiration for all who had the honor of knowing him
