James B. Thistle Jr. of Middleton, MA passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 16, 2024 after his courageous battle against cancer. Born on February 2, 1937, in Boston, MA, Jim's cheerful demeanor was a blessing to all who knew him throughout his 87 years of life.
Jim was the husband of Constance Thistle (Zappulla), with whom he shared a loving marriage of 66 years. He is survived by Connie, his daughter Patricia Jarosz-Aldinger and her husband John, his son James Thistle and his wife Genna, and his toy poodle, Bella. His role as a husband, father and provider was one he held with the utmost pride and dedication, working diligently as a salesman for Sunbeam Bread for 39 years.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Jay and his fiancée Melissa, Amber and her husband Corbin, Jonathan and his wife Noreen, James and Krissy, and Carly, and his great-grandchildren Gabriella, Salvatore, Bella, and James. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life. He reveled in their accomplishments and adventures, always offering a listening ear and a word of encouragement.
