Irene J. (Amato) Richmond

On April 30,2020 Irene J Richmond, 96, of Danvers, MA, passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side. She was born in Cranston, RI on March 8, 1924 and spent the majority of her life in MA.  She left behind her siblings Eleanor Dillingham of RI, William Plante of CA and Virginia Audet of MA.

She was a loving mom of five children; Howard "Skip" Richmond of Pahokee, FL; Eleanor Tabbutt of New Castle,NH;  Susan Richmond (predeceased) of Salisbury, MA; Joyce Doran of Dover NH and James Richmond of Salem, MA.  She also was a proud and loving Grandmother of eighteen beautiful grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She worked tirelessly to support her family and always found time for each one of them whether it be sharing her knowledge, sound advice or wealth of wisdom.  Her family looked to her as the matriarch and pillar of strength...she will truly be missed.

Besides her family, she loved reading, puzzles, going for rides along the coast, reminiscing of her life growing up on the farm and most of all the many memories and good times shared with her family throughout her life...she was truly blessed and will be missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
