He leaves behind a family that adores him: his wife Illa, his partner of 70 years in every sense, sharing in his adventures and supporting his dreams. A cherished father to his daughter Petra Turla and her husband Mark, as well as his son Thomas Schank and his wife Michelle. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jason, Melissa, Travis, Alex, Mica, Andrew, Johnny, and Courtney, and a great-grandfather to Sienna. His family was the heart of his life.
Guenter's passion for life was evident in his career as a mechanical engineer, where his ingenuity and problem-solving skills were not just his trade but his calling.
