Gloria Sacco Obituary

Gloria Barbara Sacco, affectionately known as Gloria to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, in Burlington, MA, at the age of 88. Born on July 12, 1936, in Boston, MA, Gloria was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Gloria graduated from Girls High School in Boston and soon after dedicated her life to nurturing the young minds of her community as a Teacher's Aide at Mrs. Marley’s Nursery School in Winthrop. Her commitment to the well-being of others extended to her civic duties, where she served as a Poll Worker in the City of Revere, ensuring the voices of her neighbors were heard.

Gloria's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth F. Sacco and a devoted mother to her daughters, Lynne Clucas and her husband Vincent, Trisha Nappa and her husband Ed, and her son, the late Kenny Sacco. Her legacy of love continues through her adored grandchildren, Nicholas Clucas and his wife Melissa, Jason Clucas and his wife Sarah, Taylor Parenti and her fiancé Matt Coopersmith, and Madison Parenti, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Henry, Sloane, Cameron, Lily, Reagan, and Cora Clucas.

Gloria was a sister, a friend, and a confidante to her siblings Marion Massaro, John DiFlumeri, and the late Teresa Cipriano and Frank DiFlumeri. Her warmth and joy also extended to her many nieces and nephews, as well as the Sacco in-laws. She was also lovingly cared for by her caretakers, Vanesa and Chanel, who became an extension of her family.

She was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her unwavering support and boundless love. Summers at Lake Winnipesaukee were treasured times, filled with laughter and memories that her family will hold dear forever. Gloria also found joy in the excitement of playing the slots at the casino, a pastime that brought her both thrill and delight.

Described by those who knew her as loving, thoughtful, and friendly, Gloria's presence was a comfort and a joy. She had an uncanny ability to make those around her feel valued and loved, and her friendly demeanor ensured she never met a stranger, only friends she hadn't yet gotten to know.

Gloria's passing marks the end of an era, but her spirit and the love she shared will continue to echo through the generations of her family. She has left behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and the importance of cherishing every moment with those we hold dear.

As we say farewell to Gloria Barbara Sacco, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that mattered and love that lasted. Her light, though no longer present in this world, will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished.

Gloria's life will be commemorated with a funeral - mass to be celebrated on Friday, Nov.15th ( details below ), where her family and close friends will gather to honor her memory and the immeasurable impact she has had on their lives. As we reflect on her journey, we are reminded that while we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beauty and grace she brought into our existence. Rest in peace, dear Gloria; your story is one of love, and it will be read with smiles through the tears.
