Gloria A. Neckers

Gloria A. Neckers, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at Ledgewood in Beverly, MA. Born on March 18, 1934, in Chelsea, MA, Gloria's life was a vibrant journey that touched many with her friendly and spirited nature.

Gloria, spent her formative years in Chelsea where she graduated from Chelsea High School. She later became the heart of her home as a dedicated housewife and an integral part of her husband Nelson's real estate company.

Though she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nelson Neckers, her father John Colantonio, her mother Grace Casino, her son-in-law Herbert Sawyer, and her grandson Michael Sawyer, Gloria's legacy of love and zest for life continues through her surviving family. She leaves behind her sister Claire Demarco, and her devoted children Richard Neckers, Diane Sawyer, and Karen Neckers O.D. and former spouse Mark Fisher. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren Christopher Sawyer and wife Marielle Sawyer, James Sawyer, Anthony Fisher, Andrew Fisher, and Valerie Fisher, and her great-grandchildren Vincent Sawyer and Sabrina Sawyer, who will miss her profoundly.

Gloria's life was rich with experiences and adventures. Her love for travel took her to many beautiful destinations including Italy, England, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and on numerous Caribbean cruises.

Gloria was renowned for hosting and cooking for every holiday dinner. Her culinary skills and the joy she found in bringing her family together will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of sitting at her table.

In addition to her love for her family and travel, Gloria had a deep affection for her grandfurbabies. Collies—Lassie, Laddie I and II, Brandy, Cody, and Angelo—and Ragdolls—Oliver, Romeo, and Milo—were more than pets; they were a part of her family and her unwavering companions.

Gloria's life will be honored in a private ceremony, where family and friends will gather to share memories and bid farewell. Gloria A. Neckers will be deeply missed, but her legacy will endure forever in the hearts of those she touched.
