Frank Giannelli, Jr. Obituary

Frank Giannelli Jr., 90, of Danvers, MA, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026. Born in Everett, MA, on November 24, 1935, Frank was a deeply kind, loving, and selfless man who always put the needs of others before his own.

Frank shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Millie Giannelli. Together, they built a life rooted in devotion to family, spending many years in Lynnfield, MA, before moving to the Ferncroft Towers in Danvers, where Frank proudly served on the board of directors.

He was a dedicated father to his sons, Frank Giannelli III & Pia of Wells, ME, and Mark Giannelli and his wife Cindy of Sumner, ME. He also leaves behind his dear sisters, Louise and Phyllis, of Danvers and Peabody, MA. Frank also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren as well a large circle of extended family and lifelong friends.

Frank honorably served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged following an accident. He went on to spend over 20 years with Northeast Airlines. When Northeast merged with Delta Airlines, Frank was offered an exceptional corporate package to relocate to Atlanta. However, his fierce love for his family and community kept him rooted in Lynnfield, choosing his loved ones over career advancement. He later went on to work for the United States Postal Service, retiring after 30 years of dedicated postal services to his hometown of Lynnfield.

An avid sports fan, Frank loved all sports but especially football. His hobbies were playing cards with his close friends and spending exciting afternoons at the racetrack. Above all, he will be remembered as a man of immense integrity who would do absolutely anything to support his family and help anyone in need. His legacy of generosity and warmth will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Celebration of Life Services will be announced.
