Francis William Shine of Peabody, passed away quietly in his sleep early on Monday morning, January 14. He was 93. An accomplished fine artist, exercise enthusiast, golfer, “Bill” as he was known to friends and family was a gregarious and social man who enjoyed the company of others and lively conversation. A graduate of the class of 1948 at Malden Catholic High School, he felt a deep kinship with the friends he made there.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Shirley Shine, his four children, Cathleen and Mary-Beth, both of New York, William and his wife Claudia of Wakefield, and Christopher, of San Francisco, as well as several nieces and nephews.
