Felix P. (Phil) Quinn, 87, of North Andover, died Monday morning, November 28, 2022, following an eleven year challenge with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward and Florence (Renault) Quinn. He was raised in Saugus and graduated from Saugus High School. He attended University of N.H. and finished his college education at Boston University.
In 1959 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served for twenty years, retiring in 1980 as a Commanding Officer. Phil served in Vietnam, the Cuban Missile blockade, and participated in numerous rescue missions during his time as a naval pilot. After his retirement from the Navy he began a second career as a real estate developer. He was involved in both residential and commercial construction in New England, Florida, Mississippi, and Puerto Rico. Once fully retired, he enjoyed spending time with his multitude of friends discussing politics and world events. He was an avid athlete, skier, traveler, boater and cruiser.
He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 34 years, Patricia (Bean); his daughters Sharon Quinn-Fauvel and Lisa Harrison; his son Philip Quinn and spouse Jason Stump; his son Jeffrey Quinn and wife Mary Ellen; five grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Edith; his brothers Hubert, Edwin and Neal; and his daughter Sherri.
