Emmalyn Grillo Obituary

Emmalyn V. Grillo, 74, of Woburn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 27, 1951, in Revere, Massachusetts, Emmalyn carried the spirit of her hometown throughout her life. She was a thoughtful woman whose presence brought comfort to everyone she met. Her generosity, warm smile, and care for others shaped her relationships with family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors.

Emmalyn was the beloved mother of Heather Denehy and her husband Keith, Jill Auger and her fiancé Chad Beaulieu, Kimberly Kezima and her husband Eric, and Gregory Grillo. She also remained close with her former husband, Kenny Grillo. She was a proud grandmother to Cole Auger, Alyssia Smith, Mia Smith, Nisa Denehy, Evan Auger, Stephanie Kezima, Kate Denehy, and Jack Denehy, each of whom she cherished deeply.

She was the sister of George Bellofatto and his wife Doreen and is lovingly remembered by her sister‑in‑law Maryann Bellofatto and her brother‑in‑law Michael DeSimone and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Frank Bellofatto and his wife Norma, Richard Bellofatto, and Ann (Bellofatto) DeSimone.

Emmalyn was especially devoted to her work as a receptionist at Carlton‑Willard Village, where she was adored by coworkers and residents alike. She approached each day with patience and kindness, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew her there. Her work was more than a job; it was a meaningful part of her life.

Outside of work, she was an animal lover who enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and watching Hallmark movies. She found joy in routine and the comfort of home.
