Eileen M. (Reed) Morris

Eileen Morris - 87 - 

Eileen Morris passed away peacefully at Sunrise Lynnfield on Friday, January 27, 2023. She was the wife of late Melvin Gale Morris with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. Eileen was born in Lynn Massachusetts daughter of late Charles Warren Reed and Mary Esther Reed and sister too late Janice Flanders.

Eileen was educated in the Lynn public school system and graduated from Lynn English High School. She was a resident of Peabody for more than 35 years and had been employed at the GE in Lynn Massachusetts as a secretary.

Eileen traveled to many different countries with her husband Gail, went on several cruises with her girlfriends and travel to Greece and Italy with her niece Cathy. Her favorite was Hawaii!

She cherished her nephew Ed and appreciated his help with all of her projects. She enjoyed going to Ed and Cathy’s house during the holidays and spending time with Ed’s dad and the puppies.

During her time at Sunrise, Eileen met Joan, a very special friend. It was wonderful seeing them always together at the lunch table, sitting outside in the sun and chatting in the common areas.

Eileen treasured the time she spent with her friends every Thursday night at Mae‘s house for dinner. She also enjoyed going to Foxwoods with the Blue Knights. Watching Tom Brady playing for the patriots with her friend Alice was something she always looked forward to.  Friday afternoons could not come fast enough for Eileen because she was able to go to lunch with Cathy and sip her Baileys.

Surviving Eileen are her nieces Priscilla Spain and Cathleen Reed and her husband Edward and other nieces nephews and cousins.

The family would like to Express a warm thank you to Denise, the All Care hospice nurse, Geraldine, Social Worker from All Care, Steve, the Director of Sunrise Lynnfield, Rhonda, Allison, Carrina, (Angel), Herman and all of the Sunrise team for their outstanding patient care and compassion towards Eileen and her family members.

Eileen lived a very fulfilling life and she will be greatly missed!
