Edwin John Wilkins

Edwin John Wilkins, known affectionately to all as Ed, is remembered for his adventurous spirit and loving nature, passed away on April 18, 2025, following a brief illness. Born on December 1, 1953, in Beverly, Massachusetts, Ed's zest for life and friendly demeanor touched everyone he met throughout his 71 years.

Ed grew up in the heart of Danvers, MA, where he was known for his bright smile and eagerness to explore the world around him. He graduated from Danvers High School, and had a fulfilling career with National Grid. At work, Ed was not only respected for his dedication and expertise but also cherished for his camaraderie and kindness.

Throughout his life, Ed's passion for the outdoors was unmistakable. he enjoyed skiing, hiking, golfing, fishing, biking and kayaking. His love for these activities was contagious, and he often found ways to include his friends in these adventures.

He is survived by his brother, William Wilkins, and sister-in-law, Ann Wilkins. His role as a beloved uncle to his nieces Amy DePietro, Lyn Fischer, and Jill Wilkins was one he cherished deeply. The light of his adventurous tales and the warmth of his guidance will continue to shine in the lives of his great-nephews, Dylan Terry and Sydney Fischer, and great-nieces, Ellie Stevens and Kara Stevens.

Known for his generosity, Ed was a friend to many and a good neighbor.
He will be deeply missed.
