Edith L. Crowley of Middleton, MA passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025. Born in Revere, MA on November 2, 1926, Edith was one of seven siblings to the late Luigi and Giusippina Romano. She graduated from Boston University, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Education, and enjoyed a long career as a reading teacher in the Revere public school system.
She took great joy in cooking for family and friends and made the best meatballs, ever. She baked cakes to celebrate family birthdays…” now, dig down deep”. She loved watching football with her family on Sundays, watching movies on the Hallmark Channel, and playing Canasta with her friends.
She was a loving and kind Mother/Nana who was deeply devoted to her faith, constantly praying for the well-being of her family and friends.
She was the devoted wife of William Crowley, who preceded her in death by 21 years. Her memory lives on through her sister, Janet Prochilo of Manchester, NH; sons, Christopher Rahilly of Middleton, MA, Mark Rahilly of Peabody, MA and Brian Alex Rahilly of Manchester-by the Sea, MA; daughters-in-law, Debra Rahilly and Angie Rahilly, granddaughters, Madison Rahilly, Sydney Rahilly, Alexandra (Rahilly) Palumbo and her husband, Nicholas Palumbo and is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday April 21, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St. (RT 114) Middleton, MA. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at take place on Tuesday April 22 @ 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Parish, located at 22 Boston St. Middleton, MA. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St. Peabody, MA
