Doris L. Miller

Doris Louise Miller, age 94 of Middleton died peacefully surrounded by her five children on April 7, 2022 at Beverly Hospital. She was the third eldest of nine children, the daughter of the late John R. Dunn, Sr., and the late Sophie (Leszczynsky) Dunn. She grew up in Danvers and worked on the family farm until graduating from Holten High School, Danvers, MA, Class of 1945. After graduation, she worked at CBS-Hytron, in Salem, MA. She was happily married to the late George William Miller and they had five children which she loved dearly. After raising her family, Doris returned to the workforce at Beverly Hospital, retiring in 1991.

Doris is survived by her children Sharon Riddle and her husband Jody Riddle of Middleton, Elaine Miller of North Andover, Lynda Blauvelt of Middleton, Kristine Carney and her husband Tim Carney of West Newbury and George E. Miller and his wife Cheryl Miller of Amesbury. She leaves her six beloved grandchildren, Richard Rotolo, Alyssa Blauvelt, Brayden Carney, Madison Carney, George Miller and Christopher Miller. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Dunn of West Newbury.

Doris enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren, was an avid reader and loved to sew and do puzzles. She also enjoyed her vegetable garden every spring and summer.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, April 12 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Services will be private.
