Diane C. (Birmingham) Gregory

Diane Cathy Gregory, 77, passed away peacefully on the afternoon on May 8, 2022, at Exeter Hospital after a brief illness with her husband and children by her side.

Cathy was born in Peabody on October 6, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Diane Birmingham. Diane is survived by her husband of 59 years Arthur Gregory, her children Catherine Rasmussen and her husband Erik, her daughter Cheryl, son Robert. She is also survived by her sister Elaine Charron of Danvers, her brother James Birmingham and his wife Linda of Plaistow, NH, her brother Walter Birmingham of Salem, MA, and Dorothy Gregory and family. Her beloved grandchildren Jonathan and his fiancé Lauren, Derek, Ellery, Carly, and Maggie, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close, lifelong friends Natalie, Leo and Elaine, Lorraine, Al and Harriet, Gina and David, Margie & Dick, and countless more.

Cathy attended Peabody School’s and was a graduate of Fisher Junior College with a degree in business. She worked many years as a clerk at City Hall Peabody and retired from the accounting office of Phillips Academy in Exeter.

Cathy enjoyed gardening and was “Huge” Red Sox fan. She loved music, spending time with her grandchildren and attending all their sporting activities as their biggest fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Celebration of Life Visiting on Sunday May 15 from 2 to 5 pm at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St. Rte. 114, Middleton, MA, 01849. Followed by a funeral service at 5 PM also at the Funeral Home.
