Debra Swenson Obituary

In a solemn yet heartfelt announcement today, we remember the life of Debra May Swenson, affectionately known as Debbie to her loved ones, who passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, in North Andover, Massachusetts, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born on November 9, 1962, in the city of Malden, MA, Debbie's radiant spirit and infectious laughter left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Debbie's journey through life was marked by her love for her children, animals and passion for the beauty industry. Her courage was evident in her relentless fight against cancer, demonstrating strength that inspired everyone she met. Debbie's legacy is carried on through her adoring family, including her daughter, Andrea Myles-Blais; sons, James Martin Abrano and Stephen Eugene Dinan; brothers, Steven, David, and Robert Swenson; and her cherished granddaughters, Lola Moses and Gabriella Blais, as well as many loved nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her mother, Barbara Celli, and father, George Swenson, Debbie now joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a family that adores her very much.

Debbie's zest for life was paralleled by her love for cooking delicious food, a passion she delighted in sharing with her family. Her culinary creations were not just meals but expressions of her love, served with a side of her great sense of humor. She was a long time fan of "The Golden Girls," and loved to crochet and craft.

Summertime found Debbie in her happiest state, sitting by the pool and soaking in the warm weather, her laughter mingling with the sounds of splashing water and the chatter of family and friends. These moments, simple yet profound, encapsulated the essence of Debbie's approach to life – finding joy in the everyday and embracing the warmth of the sun and the love of those around her.

As we bid farewell to Debbie, we celebrate a life lived with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit. Her memory will be treasured as a beacon of courage and affection, a reminder to cherish the time we have with our loved ones. Debra will be deeply missed, but the imprints of her spirited and loving soul will forever remain.
