Charles Moore, Jr. Obituary

Charles ("Lennie") L. Moore, Jr., 95, of Danvers, Massachusetts, passed away on October 16, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret Ruth (Demmons) Moore.

Born in Danvers on October 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Charles and Edythe (Brown) Moore. Raised and educated in Danvers, Charles graduated from high school and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1951 to 1954, spending much of his service in Europe.

Following his military service, Charles worked at Hotwatt, Inc. for 54 years as a Facilities Engineer. He was a dedicated and loyal employee whose hard work and good humor made a lasting impression on all who knew him there.

Charles was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge in Danvers and an avid Boston sports fan. He loved spending time with his family, traveling, and the occasional trip to the casino. A lifelong learner with a keen interest in U.S. history and a deep intellectual curiosity, he was often found sharing stories and reflections about the past with family and friends.

A generous and compassionate man, Charles was also a strong advocate for blood donation and rolled up his sleeve at every opportunity. He was always ready to lend a hand and will be remembered for his kindness and quiet generosity.

He is survived by his son Scott Moore and his wife Denise of Danvers; his daughters Pamela Morris of Hampton, NH, and Dottie Moore of Danvers; and his son David Moore and Sue Vinciguerra of Danvers. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael, Kristen, Courtney, Nick, Justin, and Derek; great-grandchildren Maya, Quincy, Hazel, Morgan, Holly, and Leah; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Charles Moore III, and his sisters, Evelyn Spiliotis and Caryl McGlynn.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th at 11:00 a.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
