Charles Patrick Jackson

Charles Patrick Jackson, of Andover, Massachusetts, peacefully passed away on July 27, 2026.

Born on March 17,1967, at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida, Charles was the beloved son of Osborne and Joan Jackson.

Charles graduated from Forest Hill High School in West Palm Beach with the Class of 1985. During his school years, he was actively involved in chorus, student government, and drama. He served as Freshman Class President, performed in school plays, and was a proud member of the select vocal ensemble, Dimension 20.

After high school, Charles pursued his passion for gymnastics by coaching throughout the Palm Beach area. He inspired countless young athletes while coaching at Jupiter Gymnastics, Cats Gymnastics, and Gym Like This in Palm Beach Gardens. After relocating to Massachusetts, he continued coaching at Yellow Jackets Gymnastics in Billerica and Interstate Gymnastics in Methuen and Amesbury, where he became a respected mentor to generations of gymnasts.

Charles also proudly served eight years in the United States Marine Corps. One of his first duty stations was Marine Corps Okinawa, Japan, where he began a military career defined by dedication and service. More recently, he led the R.O.T.C. program at Methuen High School, where he positively influenced the lives of many students. His commitment to mentoring young people earned him the respect, admiration, and lasting friendships of students, colleagues, and members of the community.

Outside of his professional life, Charles embraced adventure. He loved traveling, sports, snow skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and deep-sea fishing. Whether exploring beneath the ocean's surface or discovering new places, he found joy in life's adventures and shared that enthusiasm with those around him.

Charles will be remembered for his leadership, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to helping others reach their full potential. His impact on the lives of his students, athletes, fellow Marines, family, and friends will endure for years to come.

Charles is survived by his sister, Joette Gisele (Hans) Schreyer; his nephew, Miles Rantalainen; his aunt, Bettye Collier; and many cherished cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Osborne and Joan Jackson; grandparents, Charles and Cola Collier; uncles, Charles and Edward Collier, and brother Ozzie Simpkins. Though he will be deeply missed, Charles leaves behind a legacy of service, mentorship, adventure, and kindness that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, July 30th at The Elks Lodge, 652 Andover Street,
