Charles J. Crocker, also known as "Butch" to some, of Everett, Massachusetts, passed away on March 18, 2026 after a lengthy battle with Lewy Body Dementia. Charlie was a lifelong resident of Everett and a man who truly valued family, community, and the simple joys in life..
He leaves behind his loving children: Barbara Crocker of Methuen; Cheryl Iantosca and her husband Bob of Woburn; Sue Crocker of Billerica; Kim McMahon and her husband Tim of Woburn; Rick Crocker and his wife Kristie of Benson, North Carolina; and John Crocker of Rochester, New Hampshire. He was the proud grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara Crocker; his sisters, Dot and Barbara; his brothers, Jim and Donald; and his parents Charles and Thelma.
Charlie was well known for his dedication to his community. In 1961, he joined the Boston Disaster Service and served as a member of the survey committee and Vice-Chairman of the Transportation committee. He also served as the Disaster Chairman for the city of Woburn and was an active member of the Everett team. He served as Vice-Chairman for Disaster for the city of Everett and a member of the Boston Action Team. Charlie also gave his time as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. In addition, he proudly served as an auxiliary firefighter for the cities of Everett, Woburn and Wakefield.
He found his greatest happiness in being surrounded by his family - his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved bringing everyone together, especially around the table with his scratch tickets, which always meant laughter and time shared. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with his wife in their younger years, fishing, and following sports..
Charlie will be remembered for his deep love of family, his commitment to helping others, and the lasting memories he created with everyone around him. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply..
Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance of Charlie on Monday March 23 from 10:30a.m. - 1:00p.m. at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 South Main St, Middleton, Massachusetts, followed by graveside services at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, Ma..
