Carol J. Robinson

Carol J. (Marcacci) Robinson, 88, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 at Beverly Hospital with family and friends by her side. She was the beloved wife of Frank A. Robinson, Jr., with whom she shared 58 years of marriage before his passing in 2014.

Carol was born on May 25, 1936 in Marseilles, IL, graduated from Marseilles High School, and traveled east to experience the “big city” where she eventually met Frank. At one point she told Frank that she would need to head home – unless she were to marry or something – and Frank thankfully got the message.

Settling in Beverly and raising a family, she loved to cook and entertain and called herself a “domestic engineer” whenever asked for her occupation. During her last hospital stay, nurses and aids who had previously cared for her but were no longer assigned to her care, would stop by her room to check on her and tell us how much they loved her. Amazing.

Carol is survived by two children, Gary Robinson and his wife Jane of Methuen, and Amy Atherton and her husband Steven of Middleton, five grandchildren, Courtney, Brian, Zachary, Rebecca and Nathan, and and six great grandchildren, Patrick, Taylor, Riley, Landon, Nolan, and Payson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Beth Robinson of Haverhill who passed away in July of 2024.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S Main St, Rt. 114, Middleton, MA, on Sunday, March 16, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA, 01923. ( see the link below) A memorial service for Frank and Carol will be held at a later date at St Agnes Church, 22 Boston Street, Middleton.
