Carl E. Nelson

Carl E Nelson passed away at home on June 4, 2023 with his family at his side after a lengthy illness. Son of Carl J and Marie (Senerchia) Nelson, Carl was born in Malden, MA on February 7, 1939. He graduated from Malden High School 1957, along with his future wife Marilyn (Gustasfen) Nelson married for 63 years. He attended Bentley School of Accounting.

He worked for US Trust/Citizens for 33 years as a Secured Loan Analyst retiring as a Vice President in 2004. After retirement he continued as a consultant for the banking industry.

He resided in Danvers, MA for 47 years, now residing in W Newbury, MA since 2010. He was involved with Boy Scout Troop 155 of Danvers as a committee member for many years, enjoying being involved with a great group of men and young boys. He was a member of the Danvers Polish Club.

He and Marilyn traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, as well as cruising to many destinations. With Norway and Ireland being their favorite.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Nelson of W Newbury, MA.  Daughter Eileen Nelson of Merrimack, NH. Son Paul Nelson and wife Karen of Danvers, MA. And his only beloved grandson John Nelson of Danvers, MA. He is survived by siblings Maureen Newman of Salt Lake, Utah. William Nelson of Malden, MA and deceased brother George Nelson.
